Air Travel Sucks!

My Mother, who abhors traveling, came for a visit to meet Alyssa.  She has only traveled one other time in the last decade or so and that was to meet Jasmine.  Every time she does travel, one or more things go wrong.  Today she got to the airport to find out her flight would be delayed and that she would potentially miss her connection.  The net result would only be a few extra hours tacked on to the trip but no one wants to know and the start of a trip things are going wrong.  I told her to call me if she missed her flight since I planned on taking Jasmine to the airport and didn't want her to have to wait around for a couple of hours.  Well, I checked online and her flight left even later than expected - in fact, it landed after her connection took off so I didn't even bother to wait for a phone call - I assumed she would be on the next flight.  When that time rolled around and she still hadn't call, I called the airline to find out what flight she was on.  It turns out that she got put on a different flight and had made her connection and was already at the airport waiting to picked up.  I left to go get her and I got a call just as I was in baggage claim asking where I was.  It turns out she hadn't been waiting too long but her luggage hadn't arrived with her.  Ugghhh!  We are all happy she is here.
